Born in Hawaii to a family of artists Simone White was naturally drawn to the arts and worked as an actress, writer and photographer before finding her passion in music.

Simone recorded with Nashville producer Mark Nevers (Calexico, Bonnie Prince Billy, Candi Staton) and was signed to Damon Albarn’s label Honest Jon’s.

I Am The Man (2007) was a favorite with critics from MOJO to the Daily Mail and the single The Beep Beep Song became the soundtrack for a world-wide, award-winning ad campaign for Audi.

Simone White’s last album, Yakiimo (2009) released in Europe/UK on Honest Jons, earned her a feature in German Rolling Stone entered their critic’s picks at number 5 and received 4 stars in UK’s MOJO. The single A Bunny In A Bunny Suit is the soundtrack to the Omega Ladymatic watch ad featuring Nicole Kidman currently airing in Europe and Asia.

White has toured extensively, from the Lincoln Center in New York (with Damon Albarn’s Honest Jon’s Chop Up) to WOMAD UK and the Green Man Festival in Wales.

Simone resides in Echo Park, CA and is working on her new album, Every Little Now And Then, with the producers from Fol Chen due for release on Honest Jon’s, summer 2011.
