First formed in Glasgow in the late 2010s, the now London-based band Kelora channel folklore from the real and unreal; the seen and unseen. Following the release of their 2023 debut album Gloomerald, Kelora set themselves the challenge of an IRL recreation of their online world, bringing together London’s sprawling scene of post-genre songwriters and producers to perform in abandoned buildings across the city. Since then, they’ve also performed alongside ML Buch, Yeule, Palmistry, Florence Sinclair, felicita, Kero Kero Bonito, as well as a part of PC Music compilation project. Coming out in early 2025, their sophomore LP and label debut, Sleepers will feel like a spiritual and sonic rebirth. The ten-track epic is coiled in dayglo electronica, moments of total pop and melodies that seem to have always existed. Sleepers explores the various ways we escape the hum and hysteria of modern life, from paranormal research to urban exploration and the psychonautical – and how these portals have helped a generation of sleepers paint the city bright.
Sleepers is out now via True Panther.

“Listening to Kelora is a balm for our times. [They] have perfected an otherworldly sound that blends folk, darkpop and electronica. Their latest album, Sleepers, sounds like a 30 minute serenade from the great beyond.” -The Face
“Featuring folk-style narratives and pared-back guitar melodies, there’s a gentle solitude to Kelora’s music that feels out of focus, like trying to push through an unreachable fog.” -DAZED
“The Glaswegian duo are adept at layering sparse and intricate sounds to create a strange sense of both tranquility and unease, like one of those dreams that’s incredibly close to reality but the details are slightly off” -VICE
