Crooked Steps is where vintage rock and sun-soaked surf meet. This Ghent-based band delivers spicy guitar riffs with a laid-back charm, for fans of The Black Keys and Miles Kane. They’re ready to provide the soundtrack for the next Tarantino blockbuster.

Their musical journey began in 2020 with a victory in De Nieuwe Lichting and several initial radio hits such as “Sugar” and “Daiquiri”. Fast forward to 2023 and their first long player ‘Sambuca Dreams’ is complete. “A delightful soundtrack for your perfect summer (HUMO – ★★★1/2)”. A debut album that takes listeners on a musical road trip: cruising through the prairies in a Hawaiian shirt with a daiquiri in hand, and speeding down Route 66. With their record in the trunk and new songs on the airwaves (Studio Brussel & Willy), they made pit stops at many festival meadows in Belgium and the Netherlands last summer.

After a successful summer, it was time for a creative refuel at Number Nine Studio’s. Under the guidance of producer Sebastian Omerson (STAKE, Delvis, School is Cool), they wrote new music that we can expect throughout 2024. Crooked Steps is waar vintage rock en zonovergoten surf elkaar ontmoeten. Deze Gentse band brengt pittige gitaarriffs met een laid-back charme, voor fans van The Black Keys en Miles Kane, klaar om de soundtrack van de volgende Tarantino-kaskraker te verzorgen.

Hun muzikale reis begon in 2020 met een overwinning in De Nieuwe Lichting en enkele eerste radiohits als “Sugar” en “Daiquiri”. Fast forward naar 2023 en hun eerste langspeler ‘Sambuca Dreams’ is af. “Een heerlijke soundtrack voor uw topzomer (HUMO – ★★★1/2)”. Een debuutplaat waarin ze luisteraars meenemen op een muzikale roadtrip: cruisend door de prairies in een Hawaiihemd met een daiquiri in de hand, en met volle gas karren over Route 66. Met hun plaat in de koffer en nieuwe songs op de radiogolven (Studio Brussel & Willy) maakten ze vorige zomer pitstops aan menig festivalweide in België en Nederland.
